Karen Chambers

Karen has over 20 years’ experience in housing, predominantly in customer service and engagement, alongside leading customer-facing teams across housing, care and support.

She has held non-executive and Trustee roles with Tpas and The Foyer Federation, mentored through the Housing Diversity Network and served as a Commissioner in adult social care. Passionate about meaningful and inclusive resident engagement, Karen supports residents to hold organisations to account and improve services, while helping boards demonstrate the impact of listening to residents.

Her areas of expertise include resident voice in governance, engagement strategies and plans, resident scrutiny and SMART Reviews. Outside work, Karen enjoys family time, travel, music and singing in a pop choir.
