What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your computer, phone or tablet when you visit it. Cookies let a site remember things about your visit – such as whether you are signed in, or which choices you have made – so you don't have to set them again on every page.

We also use similar technologies such as local storage and pixels. Where we say "cookies" on this page, we mean all of these.

When you first visit our website we ask which cookies you are happy for us to use. Only strictly necessary cookies are set before you choose – everything else waits for your permission.

Strictly necessary cookies

These make the website work. They keep you signed in, keep forms and payments secure, share traffic between our servers, and remember your cookie choices. They cannot be switched off, and we do not need your consent to set them.

Analytics cookies

These help us understand how people find and use the site – which pages are visited, how long people stay, and where things go wrong – so we can improve it. The reports describe patterns across all visitors, not you individually. These are only set if you accept them.

About Crazy Egg. We use Crazy Egg only to see how pages are used in aggregate – where people click, and how far down a page they read. We do not use it to identify you, and it does not capture anything you type into a form. It is switched off unless you accept analytics cookies.

Google Analytics is delivered through Google Tag Manager. Google Tag Manager does not set cookies of its own; it loads the tags listed above once you have given permission. For more on how these providers handle data, see Google's privacy policy and Crazy Egg's privacy policy.

Marketing cookies

Where we run advertising, these measure how well it works and help us show our content to relevant audiences on other platforms. They are only set if you accept them, and we do not use them on every page.

Cookies set by embedded content

Some pages include content served by other organisations – videos and social media feeds. When that content loads, the organisation providing it can set its own cookies, which we do not control.

Where our consent tool allows it, we hold this content back until you accept it and show a placeholder in its place. Because these cookies are set by the other organisation, we recommend reading their own privacy notices.

Our membership and booking pages

When you join, renew or book a place, you are taken to our booking pages at tpas.glueup.com, which are run for us by Glue Up. Those pages set the Glue Up and Amazon Web Services cookies listed above, and Glue Up stores membership and delegate information outside the UK. Our Privacy Policy explains that in full.

Card payments are handled by a PCI-certified payment provider. Neither Tpas nor our analytics tools receive or store your full card details.

Change your cookie settings

You can review or change your choices at any time using the cookie settings option on this website. If you cannot see it, clearing the cookies for this site in your browser will reset your choices and bring the cookie notice back.

Controlling cookies in your browser

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, which affects every website you visit, not just ours. Be aware that blocking all cookies will stop some websites working properly.
