Term of office 2023–2026

Aasia is an experienced housing professional with more than 30 years' experience in the sector, with particular expertise in resident involvement, community development and engagement.

She is committed to ensuring residents' voices are heard and reflected in the way services are designed and delivered. Aasia has worked on several European Social Fund projects and has written major funding applications for the National Lottery.

Aasia is also a Board member and Vice Chair of Bournemouth Churches Housing Association, as well as a Director and Trustee of a multi-academy trust in Hampshire.

She has completed a PhD in Sociology and Social Policy and is currently a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing.
